MATERNITY PROFILEÂ
We know and believe that the coming of your new baby is a major landmark in your life. You need to be prepared physically, socially, psychologically and financially.
ÂMost of the times, medical bills are not known in advance thus making it impossible to plan and avoid financial embarrassment. We want to make your life easier by providing you with fixed cost packages for delivery.
ANTENATAL:
~ Consultations: Follow-up by hospital's doctors' until delivery.
~ Medication: Haematinics.
~ Laboratory tests: Antenatal profile, which includes VDRL, Blood group, HB and Urinalysis.

MATERNITY PACKAGES
This is intended for mothers’ who expect to deliver without complications.
ÂIncludes:
Delivery: Conducted by a qualified nurse/midwife.
ÂStay: Up to three days stay in the maternity ward.
ÂMedication: Medicines and dressings are inclusive except prostaglandins (for induction of labour)
ÂBaby Care: Review by hospital’s doctor.
ÂVaccination: KEPI vaccine regime (Birth Polio and BCG).
ÂExclusions: The cost does not include specialist doctor’s fees where and if necessary.
Cost: Kshs. 25,000.00Â
This is package is intended for mothers’ who may have complicated normal delivery or prefer to be delivered by a doctor.
Package Includes:Â
Delivery: Supervised and assisted by an obstetrician. It includes 3 visits by the hospital doctor and a comprehensive review of the baby by our doctors.
ÂStay: Up to three days stay in the maternity ward.
ÂBaby Care: Review by hospital doctor.
ÂVaccination: KEPI vaccine regime (Birth Polio and BCG).
ÂMedication: Medicines and Dressings are inclusive except prostaglandins.

Cost: Kshs. 40,000.00
DELIVERY BY CAESERIAN SECTION:
This is package is only for mothers who can only deliver by caesarian section.
Package Includes:Â
Operation: Doctors, anaesthetist and theatre fees.
ÂStay: Up to e days stay in the general ward.
ÂMedication: All medicines and dressings except prostaglandins.
ÂBaby Care: Comprehensive review by our doctors and KEPI regime vaccines.
ÂVaccination: KEPI vaccine regime (Birth Polio and BCG).
ÂMedication: Medicines and Dressings are inclusive except prostaglandins.
Cost: Kshs. 75,000Â
EXCLUSIONSÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
- Delivery or treatment at any facility other than Metropolitan Hospital.
- Obstetrician fees if not referred by Metropolitan Hospital doctors.
- Treatment of illness during pregnancy / delivery.
- Nutritional supplements during pregnancy other than those specifically mentioned.
- Medicines, specialist, incubator care, treatment of premature delivery, congenital disease / conditions, respiratory distress or any other illness in the newborn.
- Illness of the baby after discharge.
- Vaccines not included in the KEPI regime.
- Attempted delivery other than the chosen package.
All monies must be paid in full one month before the services are rendered.
ÂPayment is by cash or cheque, Installment payments accepted as follows;
- 50% down payment
- 25% after 10 days,
- Balance after 30 days.

Refund will be given for unused services less 5% cancellation fee.Â
