1. Who Owns Metropolitan Hospital?

The hospital is public limited company, meaning that you and I are the owners. The hospital has more than 500 shareholders. Shareholders are from all walks of life and nationalities.The membership scheme is open to individuals and corporate bodies who are interested in joining.

2. What services are available at the Hospital?

Metropolitan is a fully-fledged hospital, offering a wide a variety services. Services offered include; Dental Clinic, Theatre, X-ray, Maternity, Inpatient, Laboratory, Ambulance, Outpatient, Diagnostic Imaging and a Doctors' Plaza.

3. What are the benefits of being a member of the hospital?

Members are entitled to a 10% discount on any service they receive at the hospital. In addition there is a free annual medical check-up for the beneficiaries, free primary immunization and free family planning services.

5. Are the hospital operations computerized?

Yes, all the hospital operations are computerized, thus reducing the paper work done and allowing the production of management reports especially for corporate clients that help monitor and control costs.

6. What are you doing about HIV/AIDS patients?

One of the biggest challenges in HIV/AIDS is the high cost of medication, but the accelerated initiative program, has reduced significantly the cost of the medicines from Kshs. 70,000.00 to 7,000.00. Metropolitan is one of appointed HIV Treatment centers, where one can get this medication. The average monthly cost of maintaining a HIV AIDS patient is about Kshs. 10,000.00
