ONLINE OUTPATIENT REGISTRATION
We have introduced a new system for patient registration and appointment scheduling – all part of our efforts to offer our patients significant benefits.Â
An electronic referral application has been developed and integrated into the existing outpatient information system.
The primary goal of this software is to improve the quality and coordination of patient care by increasing physician-to-physician communication. We anticipate that improved communications will also enhance physician and patient satisfaction and enhance cost savings.
These outcomes are being formally evaluated following implementation of the programme.
CLINIC REFERRALS
We'd like our patients to know of a few changes that occur when you arrive for clinic visits:Â
- First, each time you have an appointment, please go directly to the registration hub.
- Second, if your insurance requires co-pay, we will collect the co-pay at the registration desk as part of the sign-in process for your visit.
- Thirdly, a remainder is done one day prior to your scheduled appointment by SMS.
N/B. We accept payment by cash, cheque with prior arrangement, credit/debit card, zap and mpesa.
CLINIC APPOINTMENT - Please Arrive 30 Minutes Early
To ensure adequate time for sign-in before seeing your doctor, please arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. Your cooperation in arriving early is greatly appreciated and ensures a smooth and timely visit. Â
Why the Change?
These changes are part of Metropolitan’s transition to an electronic health record and new billing system, which will have significant benefits for you as a patient:

- You'll find more consistent practices Metropolitan.
- In the future, if you choose, we envision that you will be able to access portions of your health record online
