In a bid to provide quality care to our clients with the ever growing need to feed the market with well trained Health Care Assistants, Metropolitan Hospital started training this cadre of Human Resources for Health in May 2016.

Through the years we have successfully trained and graduated more than 500 Health Care Assistants some of whom have been absorbed in Metropolitan and other partnering Hospitals. We have also been able to place some HCAs in Nursing Homes, Clinics, Doctors' offices and others have found their space in offering Home Based Care.

The course takes 6 months and entails two (3) months of intensive course work and two (3) months of clinical attachment. The course equips students with essential skills in patient care. Upon successful completion of this course students are awarded a Certificate in Healthcare Assistant. There is a fresh intake every 2 months.
